College hockey fans voted Drew LeBlanc of St. Cloud State University the 2013 Premier Player of College Hockey in an online poll that closed at midnight on April 15th. LeBlanc, a fifth-year senior forward, led the nation with 37 assists in 42 games. He scored 13 goals and finished with 50 points, good for seventh in the nation. He was a two-year captain for the Huskies, who lost to Quinnipiac, 4-1, in the national semifinals. Other top candidates for The Premier Player of College Hockey trophy included Niagara’s guard Carsen Chubak who finished second and Bentley’s forward Brett Gensler who placed third in the online poll.
